CyberSheild: A Personalized Penetration Testing Platform

International Research Journal of Modernization in Engineering Technology and Science · 2025

CyberShield is a command-line interface-based cybersecurity toolkit developed for Kali Linux, focusing on core areas of penetration testing and digital forensics. The purpose of this toolkit is to provide ethical hackers and learners with a modular, user-friendly tool that performs key offensive security tasks. The toolkit comprises a SHA-256 hash cracker, SSH and web login brute-force modules, a Linux-based keylogger with secure remote log delivery, and an advanced reconnaissance suite named Core4Recon.Each tool was initially implemented with simple scripts and later enhanced with modular functions, structured menus, intelligent error handling, and real-time security recommendations. The toolkit follows a practical, design-focused approach emphasizing usability, clarity, and responsible deployment.Testing across multiple attack surfaces demonstrated CyberShield's capability to identify weak credentials, extract valuable recon data, and log user activity efficiently.Color-coded banners, input validation, dynamic exit messages, and a back-navigation system contribute to its accessible interface. The study concludes that CyberShield not only improves penetration testing workflow but also serves as a foundational learning platform in ethical hacking.Future enhancements may include AV/EDR evasion testing, threat intelligence integration, and GUI support to expand its versatility and impact in cybersecurity education and professional use.
