Exploring the Integration of AI and Blockchain for Secure, Transparent, and Decentralized Data Management Systems

Jennifer Ifeoma Echenim · International Journal of Science Architecture Technology and Environment · 2025

In today’s data-driven world, the need for secure, transparent, and decentralized data management is more urgent than ever. Traditional centralized systems are vulnerable to failures, tampering, and lack of user control. This research explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain technologies to create resilient data ecosystems. By combining Blockchain’s immutability and decentralization with AI’s analytical and decision-making power, we propose a hybrid framework aimed at improving data integrity, privacy, and trust. The study examines existing applications, potential use cases—such as decentralized identity management and secure medical data sharing—and the technical and ethical challenges of integration. Through literature review, prototype development, and case study evaluation, the research provides a practical foundation for implementing intelligent, blockchain-based data governance systems.
