Blockchain technology presents a capable solution for secure and standardized data sharing with its consensus mechanisms and smart contracts. The major objective of this study is to propose a novel blockchain architecture for secure healthcare data sharing by detecting all factors necessary for healthcare data sharing. After analyzing numerous blockchain architectures for healthcare systems, this study found three essential categories of factors called healthcare, security, and blockchain, which are vital for successful data sharing in healthcare environments. The prototypes and pseudocodes of the proposed architecture were validated by using expert opinions from 15 software experts. The study's major contribution lies in the development of this robust architecture, which not only addresses the core issues of data privacy, security, and interoperability but also lays a strong foundation for future advancements in the secure exchange of medical records using blockchain technology.
