The present research focuses on designing a Hybrid Physically Unclonable Function (PUF), which combines SRAM (based on memory) and RO-PUF (ring oscillator) technologies in order to enforce hardware security. The hybrid approach leverages the simplicity of SRAM along with the high entropy offered by RO-PUF, thereby addressing concerns of environmental susceptibility and modeling attacks. Hybrid PUFs improve randomness, increase robustness, and enable cryptographic key generation, device authentication, and secure boot processes. The modular design allows for the addition of future research in PUF technology, thus ensuring continued effectiveness in addressing new hardware security issues. Our design achieves notable results, with a uniqueness rate of 48.66% and a uniformity or randomness value of 41.77%.
