A Method Based on Channels Accumulation for Enhancement MmWave Radar in Highway

A signal processing method combining Time Division Multiplexing Multiple Input Multiple Output (TDM-MIMO) and Beamforming is proposed for automotive millimeter-wave (MMW) radar in highway scenarios. This method applies both coherent and non-coherent accumulation to the virtual channels, followed by separate target detection. To estimate the Beamforming angle, the method identifies the direction of the highway by analyzing the Range-Azimuth (RA) map. Experimental results validate the effectiveness of the proposed signal processing method.
