A Cloud Storage Auditing Scheme Based on Identity-Based Signature

Cloud storage has become the most widely used medium for data storage. When users upload, delete, or modify data in the cloud, ensuring data integrity and semantic correctness is a critical challenge. Existing solutions rely on a data verification engine to validate dynamic data operations and use hash-based schemes to ensure data integrity. However, these approaches often allow data auditors to access the audited data, leading to potential privacy breaches and making them unsuitable for real-time applications. To address this issue, we propose an efficient data auditing solution that leverages the RSA signature and a provable data possession (PDP) scheme to verify cloud data. This approach enhances data privacy and significantly reduces bandwidth consumption compared to hash-based methods. Security analysis confirms that the proposed solution ensures audit soundness, while experimental results demonstrate its high execution efficiency.
