The Internet of Things (IoT) has revolutionized healthcare, enabling remote patient monitoring, personalized medicine, and improved diagnostics. However, the interconnected nature of healthcare IoT devices introduces significant security and privacy challenges. This paper explores the critical need for robust security measures in healthcare IoT systems, focusing on protecting sensitive patient data and ensuring the integrity of medical devices. We propose a multi-layered security framework that addresses vulnerabilities at the device, network, and application levels. This framework incorporates techniques such as lightweight cryptography for resource-constrained devices, blockchain for secure data sharing and provenance tracking, and federated learning for privacy-preserving data analysis. Furthermore, we investigate the use of AI-driven anomaly detection to identify and mitigate malicious activities within the healthcare IoT ecosystem. We evaluate the proposed framework through simulations and case studies, demonstrating its effectiveness in enhancing security and privacy while maintaining the functionality and efficiency of healthcare IoT applications. Our findings highlight the importance of a holistic approach to security in healthcare IoT and provide a foundation for developing secure and trustworthy connected healthcare systems.
