The transition to IPv6 has become increasingly important as the exhaustion of IPv4 addresses continues to pose challenges in network scalability and management. This paper presents a comprehensive performance analysis of IPv6 dynamic routing protocols, specifically focusing on the implementation using Mikrotik routers. The study evaluates the performance of various dynamic routing protocols such as OSPFv3 and RIPng, which are widely used in IPv6 networks. Metrics such as convergence time, packet loss, and throughput are analyzed under different network conditions to assess the efficiency of these protocols in real-world scenarios. The results of this analysis provide valuable insights into the optimal protocol selection for IPv6 environments, particularly for network administrators and engineers utilizing Mikrotik routers. This paper evaluates the performance of the Mikrotik routing protocols RIPng and OSPFv3 across various scenarios. The study involved several test scenarios conducted using GNS3. The findings revealed that OSPFv3 consistently outperformed RIPng, delivering the best results in terms of delay and packet loss in all tested scenarios.
