3DAES: An Ensemble of Symmetric cryptographic protocol for Data security

Deepraj Chowdhury, Sagnik Mazumdar, Tushar Kanti Bera · 2025

In this digital world, data plays a significant role, and protecting these data is required. Cryptographic protocols are employed for encryption of data sent between sender and recipient. To transfer data specifically between known sender and receiver faster and more securely, the symmetric protocol is better than the asymmetric one. The real issue with symmetric is to share the secret key securely with the receiver from the sender. Also, specific protocols have certain mathematical flaws which decrease their security. So in this paper, an asymmetric key transfer mechanism is proposed, an ensemble of 2 symmetric protocols, AES-128 and 2DES-inspired algorithms. This protocol uses Diffie Hellman-based key exchange to transfer the symmetric key among the receivers asymmetrically. This makes the data transfer secure and faster.
