This chapter explores the role of emerging technologies in disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM), focusing on the integration of the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Data Analytics to enhance urban resilience. IoT-enabled sensors and smart infrastructure provide real-time data for early warning systems, infrastructure monitoring, and emergency response. AI-driven predictive analytics enhances risk assessment, resource allocation, and post-disaster recovery, while data analytics enables integration, visualization, and scenario planning. Despite their potential, challenges like data quality, scalability, cybersecurity, and ethical concerns must be addressed. The future of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) will depend on the incorporation of modern technology, increased public involvement, and global cooperation, allowing cities to develop more intelligent, secure, and sustainable urban settings.
