A wave of IoT devices is being used these days, and keeping the environment stable around them can become challenging. The real-time data collection and analysis of WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) is the only solution that can provide monitoring. In this paper, an ultra-low-power WSN is designed and implemented for monitoring purposes in IoT environments. A full WSN includes low-power environmental sensors, a mesh network of nodes, and a base station functioning as an interface between the Internets. Various sensors monitor ecological parameters like temperature, humidity, and air quality. This data is then sent to the base station over a mesh network, made energy efficient by employing low-power communication protocols. The base station later collates and stores data that is available online for remote access. It is a highly scalable system that supports adding new sensors and nodes as desired. It also integrates security controls to secure the data at rest. The WSN has been deployed successfully in a real-world application, and it is advantageous for sensors to have low power consumption, leading to longer battery life.
