This article discusses the use of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies for monitoring air quality in the city. The developed system collects data from temperature, humidity, pressure, gas, time, and GPS sensors and transmits it to the server via the LoRaWAN network. The main advantages of this technology are low power consumption and the ability to transmit data over long distances. The system architecture allows for easy scaling of the network and integration of additional sensors for more accurate monitoring. The data is stored in a MySQL database, where it is pre-processed to eliminate inconsistencies between different types of sensors. This article considers the security of IoT devices, including the use of AES-128 and ECDH for data protection. Experimental results show that the proposed approach provides reliable data transmission, attack resistance, and efficient resource management. This article highlights the importance of proper data processing and protection for the successful deployment of IoT systems in smart cities.
