Enhancing Visuals through Acoustics in Contemporary Art Projects

For the 2017 ArtEncounters Biennial in Timișoara, I decided to go for a two-folded presentation of my contribution: in a visual (as a scale model) and acoustic form (creating a radio drama / ars acustica piece).I considered that the powerful subject addressed in my artwork would be enhanced by means of dramatizing a true story through acoustics.A Wagon of Salt is an artwork project which discusses the little-known political story of the hushed pact between the former secret services of Yugoslavia and Romania during the communist regimes.When a Romanian refugee in search of freedom survived the flight to Yugoslavia but was captured, the price the Romanian state was charged for his/her extradition was a freight wagon of salt.
