Divya Pandey, Virag Jain, Shaharyar Alam Ansari · 2024

Wireless sensor Networks (WSNs) have shown to be a promising technological advancement by making it easier to collect real-world data that can be tracked, managed, and automated for a variety of uses in the business, healthcare, and military sectors, among other fields. However, WSNs comes with its inherent power, storage and computation constraints. And due to these characteristics WSNs confronts manifold concerns regarding security, privacy and data integrity. Accordingly, this current research article has attempted to highlight various perspectives of blockchain technology applications as a feasible solution to alleviate these challenges in sensor-based networks. Integration of blockchain technology with WSNs provides security, trust and mutual data integrity through a decentralized impermeable architecture. In order to improve the operations and resilience of WSNs in the future, this article investigates potential uses of blockchain technology.
