Delay/Disruption Tolerant Networking (DTN) technology has been proven to effectively handle the harsh conditions of the interstellar network to meet its requirements. Although there are several excellent open-source software packages for DTN, there is a lack of implementations that can be deployed directly on VxWorks. In this paper, an existing DTN software has been redesigned and enhanced for VxWorks. The experimental results show that the proposed DTN protocol software complies with RFCs and satisfies the system's real-time and reliability requirements. The software has been deployed on a satellite launched in China, which lays a solid foundation for the subsequent on-orbit testing and application of DTN.
