Swati Kumari, Bharat Bhushan, Khsursheed Aurangzeb · Advances in computational intelligence and robotics book series · 2025

Next-generation wireless networks (NGWNs) are extremely dynamic due to the integration of communications at different scales. Next-generation networks (NGNs) are high-speed communication network that enables many services such as packet based seamless transmission of data and information. The emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) helped the NGNs to overcome their existing issues by enabling automated network management and real-time optimization. AI can address next-generation network challenges by enhancing security through intelligent threat detection, improving scalability via automated resource management, and reducing latency with predictive analytics. The paper presents the various aspects of AI and discusses the most potential AI techniques. Further, this paper highlights the next generation wireless network and how AI can solve the problems in the NGNs. Finally, the paper discusses some recent advancement in regards of AI techniques being used in NGNs specifically machine learning, deep learning, fuzzy logic, rule based modelling and natural language processing.
