Wan Irma Sabrina Idris · Advances in information quality and management · 2025
This chapter explores the M-Kids Mobile Learning Application's role in integrating technology with early childhood education for Islamic preschoolers in Malaysia. Amid the growing use of digital tools in education, accelerated by trends like e-textbooks and online learning during COVID-19, the study assessed the effectiveness of technology-based learning. Using Thomas C. Reeves's design-based research framework, it followed five phases: needs analysis, framework development, prototype refinement, implementation, and feedback. The study, involving 150 preschoolers in Klang Valley, found strong support from parents and teachers for the app's impact on children's cognitive and behavioral development, highlighting the need for tailored digital learning solutions.
