Narendra Maddukuri · INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS · 2021
In the era of digital transformation, Business Process Management (BPM) systems have rapidly adopted cloud-based infrastructures for enhanced scalability and cost efficiency. However, this paradigm shift introduces significant challenges related to data integrity, auditability, and inter-organizational trust. This paper explores emerging frameworks and technologies that uphold trust in cloud-hosted BPM ecosystems. It investigates blockchain, secure audit trails, multi-tenant architectures, and continuous assurance models.By synthesizing pre-and post-2020 literature, the study builds a comprehensive model that ensures data is reliable, traceable, and verifiable. The paper concludes with a proposed architecture for achieving secure and auditable BPM workflows on the cloud.
