Design of Hybrid Photo-Voltaic Array Reconfiguration for Dynamic Shading Conditions
Harshita Agnihotri, Asha Rani, Ravinder Pal Singh · 2025
The efficiency of the photo-voltaic module decreases substantially when partial and dynamic shading situations arise in solar-generated power systems. Various configuration strategies are commonly utilised to improve performance in PV modules and to eliminate effects of partial shading. Six different shading patterns employing a 7*7 array structure are used to illustrate the hybrid array topologies i.e. HoneyComb-TotalCrossTied (hctct), SeriesParallel-TotalCrossTied (sptct), BridgeLinked-TotalCrossTied (bl-tct), and BridgeLinked-HoneyComb (bl-hc). The performance is considered on basis of, Global maximum power (GMP), mismatch losses (ML), fill factor (FF) and local maximum power point (LMP). 1Soltech 1STH-215-P, PV array structure is modelled and simulated using the MATLAB/Simulink software.
