during storage and transmission of digital information, it must be protected from theft, alteration, and unwanted access. It is now crucial to ensure the security of digital information due to their growing use in social media, medical data, private documents, and communication. The digital information data mostly use images, text information, videos etc. To protect your digital data from misuse, alteration, and unwanted access, digital image security is necessary. Sensitive information is kept safe to preserve confidentiality, integrity is maintained by avoiding adjustments, authenticity is confirmed by authentication, and privacy is protected by preserving personal photographs. To protect digital data the techniques that are mostly used are steganography and cryptography. In this, work presentes the hybrid model of steganography and cryptography to protect digital image. For stegography, DCT and LSB method are used and for cryptography popular RSA algorithm is used, when steganography and cryptography are combined, a strong dual-layer protection system is created.
