This research presents the design and implementation of a smart parking management system utilizing ESP32-CAM modules, RFID technology, and GSM communication. The system automates the vehicle entry process in a parking facility, providing a seamless and efficient experience for users. When a vehicle arrives at the parking entrance, the driver taps an RFID card, which triggers the system to prompt for additional information, such as the driver’s mobile number and name. The system then captures images of both the driver and the vehicle using two ESP32-CAM modules and stores this data along with a unique registration code on the RFID card. Bluetooth communication between the ESP32-CAM modules ensures that the process of capturing images is efficient and synchronized. The SIM800L GSM module sends an SMS to the driver containing details such as the vehicle’s entry time, charges based on the duration of stay, and links to the captured images. The integration of an OLED display, a physical keyboard, and a buzzer provides user feedback and enhances the overall usability of the system. The research demonstrates the potential of combining microcontroller-based systems with IoT technologies to create a practical solution for parking management. The use of RFID for identification, Bluetooth for inter-device communication, and GSM for real-time updates ensures a comprehensive and user-friendly approach to parking management. This system can be deployed in various environments, offering an effective method for improving the efficiency and security of parking operations.
