Jie Deng, Guoqing Cao · Frontiers in artificial intelligence and applications · 2025
This study explores the integration of film and virtual reality (VR) as tools to enhance employee well-being from a human-machine interaction and sustainable design perspective. With the growing need for innovative and sustainable mental health strategies in corporate environments, the use of VR-enhanced film experiences offers new possibilities for emotional engagement and resilience-building. The research examines how the immersive nature of VR, combined with film attributes—such as artistic quality, hedonic value, and trusty realism — affects employee well-being. A structural equation model (SEM) is employed to analyze the relationships between immersive film experiences, psychological resilience, and well-being, highlighting the mediating role of resilience. The findings provide insights into how these interventions can be integrated into corporate wellness programs to promote sustainable employee health and performance.
