Voting machines, or EVMs, have long been used in Indian elections. Although electronic voting machines (EVMs) represent a significant technological advance, issues with vote fraud and privacy persist. This work provides a unique two-factor authentication (2FA) voting approach to address these problems. Two levels of verification are used by the system to ensure that those who are eligible may cast ballots: biometrics utilising fingerprints and a security code. Because modern fingerprint authentication methods are used for the first identification process, voter manipulation is less likely. In the second layer, a unique voter code is utilised to verify the voter&s;s identity once again. This dual-layer method significantly increases the security of the voting process by combining biometric data with an additional security component. The shortcomings in the present electronic voting machine (EVM) system are addressed, and election security, accuracy, and integrity are all improved, by integrating two-factor authorization (2FA) into voting machines. This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the “Twine Authentication Method,” including its benefits, possible drawbacks, feasibility, security measures, and likelihood of widespread adoption. Embracing such innovative methods is essential to maintaining the credibility of the election process and supporting India&s;s democratic foundations.
