Implementation of Intrusion Detection System for IoT Networks using Jetson Orin Nano

The quick growth of IoT (Internet of Things) networks has made them more open to different network based attacks. These networks often have devices with limited resources, which leaves them open to many network threats such as de-authentication, DoS (Denial of Service), packet flooding, MAC flooding and many more. This paper shows how we designed and built an Intrusion Detection System for IoT environments with the Jetson Orin Nano to provide real time detection of network based threats in realtime without using too many resources. The IDS aims to identify various types of network threats and it generates alerts when it identifies suspicious activities while keeping resource use low, which makes it work well in IoT environments.
