Angular, a powerful JavaScript framework for building web applications, provides an efficient way to develop and maintain dynamic web applications. One of its core mechanisms, Change Detection, plays a pivotal role in determining how and when the application views should be updated in response to changes in data models. In modern web applications, performance and responsiveness are critical, and Angular's Change Detection mechanism significantly impacts both. This research aims to explore the inner workings of Angular's Change Detection system, examining how it identifies changes in application data and updates the user interface. We investigate the underlying algorithms that drive this system, including the role of zones, dirty checking, and the concept of change detection strategies such as default and onPush. We also evaluate Angular's change detection cycle, which is integral to keeping the app responsive and scalable. This paper focuses on understanding the complexities and challenges associated with Change Detection and highlights the performance implications of this mechanism.Through experimentation, we provide insights into how developers can optimize the change detection process to improve application performance. The results and findings can guide developers in making informed decisions on when and how to manage change detection for optimal performance in large-scale applications.
