Cloud data security is a critical concern in the healthcare industry, particularly when it comes to protecting electronic health records (EHRs). To ensure that only authorized parties have access to sensitive patient information, it is necessary to employ secure key distribution, quantum key generation, and multi-user data encryption and decryption techniques. These techniques effectively prevent unauthorized access and insider attacks, thereby safeguarding EHRs stored in the cloud. The application of advanced cryptographic methods, such as AES and QKD, further enhances EHR security by providing protection against brute force attacks and other security threats. Prioritizing cloud data security is essential for maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality, which requires a combination of advanced encryption methods and robust key management practices. Quantum key distribution (QKD) enables secure sharing of secret keys between two parties over an insecure communication channel, ensuring that only authorized entities can access sensitive patient information. In this work, a novel Poly-Quantum key generation method is implemented to enhance the integrity of the secret key generation process. Chaotic Poly-Quantum keys are used to generate integrity values of variable sizes for multi-user encryption and decryption operations. Consequently, an advanced multi-user quantum integrity-based multi-access control encryption and decryption approach is developed for homogeneous and heterogeneous electronic health records, aiming to enhance cloud data security. Scalability Evaluation: To assess performance in large-scale healthcare environments, comprehensive scalability testing should be conducted. This will validate the framework’s efficiency and reliability under extensive workloads. The proposed Poly-Quantum-based security model marks a significant advancement in cloud-based healthcare data protection, laying a foundation for future quantum-enhanced cryptographic solutions. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed poly quantum key integrity-based multi-user encryption and decryption framework exhibits superior optimization compared to conventional approaches on both homogeneous and heterogeneous EHR databases.
