Over the years, the widespread presence of voting corruption in India has become a critical issue. The primary cause of corrupt voting is the act of impersonation and casting multiple votes. To resolve this issue, this research has introduced a fingerprint-based security system that strengthens the voting process security. The main aim of this research is to improve the voting system’s accuracy and security by incorporating the Arduino UNO and Adafruit Fingerprint Sensor R307 into the process of collecting and verifying registered voters’ fingerprints. Our verification system has an accuracy rate of 95–100%. Using fingerprint recognition and biometric authentication, our system can compare the provided and saved fingerprint data. The LCD display will indicate whether the individual presenting their fingerprint has already voted, which reduces the possibility of double voting and impersonation.
