THE EVOLUTION OF MOBILE APP DEVELOPMENT: EMBRACING CROSS-PLATFORM FRAMEWORKS

The rapid proliferation of mobile devices has driven the need for efficient and scalable mobile app development practices.Cross-platform frameworks have emerged as a transformative solution, enabling developers to build applications that run seamlessly on multiple platforms with a single codebase.This research article explores the evolution of mobile app development, focusing on the adoption and impact of crossplatform frameworks such as React Native, Flutter, and Xamarin.The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative insights from developer interviews and quantitative performance evaluations of apps built using these frameworks.Results indicate that cross-platform frameworks significantly reduce development time and cost while maintaining competitive performance metrics.However, challenges such as limited access to native APIs and performance trade-offs in complex applications persist.This research provides a comprehensive analysis of the benefits and limitations of cross-platform frameworks, offering actionable recommendations for developers and organizations navigating the evolving landscape of mobile app development.
