ABSTRACT The healthcare sector is rapidly evolving due to increasing recognition of global needs. With these developments, new medical technologies are emerging, and healthcare issues are actively delivered with a focus on patient empowerment. Telesurgery is an important advancement in healthcare support. Challenges such as data security, connectivity delays, etc., in resourced but limited areas require robust security measures and innovative solutions. This article proposed a secure and robust framework for telesurgery systems that analyzes the traffic in and out flow for the identification of malicious commands (sent by surgeons to the patients or some intermediary modifying the surgeon's commands). Further, we used blockchain technology to strengthen the secure implementation of the telesurgery framework to ensure patient security. Integrating these technologies with various stakeholders in the telesurgery process, such as hospitals, physicians, communication channels, and surgical robots at the patient end ensures surgical success. We also evaluated the performance of the proposed framework by calculating its transaction and execution costs.
