Amrit Suman, Preetam Suman, Sasmita Kumari Padhy, Shahana Gajala Qureshi · 2025

More and more cyberattacks are occurring on the Internet of Things. Corporate operations, compliance, reputation, and the economy have been negatively impacted as a result. The surge in cyberattacks is a result of the widespread use of IoT sensors in industries such as smart relationships, medical monitoring systems, automated production, and logistics. By protecting IoT assets and user privacy, cybersecurity in IoT aims to condense cybersecurity threats that are present for both businesses and consumers. The development of new cybersecurity technologies is leading to both potential and issues in IoT cybersecurity management. The complex cybersecurity challenges associated with IoT systems cannot be addressed by a comprehensive risk management structure alone. Information on IoT privacy technology and security risk management strategies is included in this chapter. A four-layer structure for IoT risk administration for cybersecurity will also be discussed, as will the shortcomings of IoT risk administration for cybersecurity. Linear programming in this chapter discusses the optimal way to distribute funds among multiple IoT vulnerability projects. The demonstration of Internet of Things cyber threat management for a smart hotel accommodation is explained to support risk assessment through proof of concept validation.
