Because resource-constrained devices, like Internet of Things (IoT) devices, have limited computing power and energy, their increasing prominence has created significant security challenges. It is advised to employ blockchain technology to solve these issues and raise the security of these kinds of gadgets. Blockchain, noted for its decentralized and unchangeable nature, provides numerous methods for improving security. First, it provides secure and decentralized methods of authentication, doing away with the requirement for centralized authorities while decreasing the likelihood of single points of failure. Additionally, Smart Contracts provide for safe and automated device-to-device interactions that preserve the integrity and trust of data. Blockchain&s;s transparent and auditable nature aids in detecting and preventing unauthorized access and data alteration. Consensus techniques improve overall network security by demanding the consent of numerous members before making changes. However, to implement blockchain in resource-constrained contexts, it is critical to solve scalability and performance constraints. Further study and development are needed to address these issues and perhaps reap the benefits of blockchain technology in protecting devices with limited resources.
