Securing the Future of IoT: Exploring the Role of Blockchain Technology in IoT Security

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of networked devices that has changed many businesses, but its expansion has also brought new issues such as security, scalability, and data privacy. Blockchain technology, a decentralized digital ledger, has emerged as a promising option for tackling these difficulties by enabling safe and decentralized data and transaction management. In this paper, we explore how blockchain technology could be implemented to secure IoT networks. We give an overview of the core ideas and characteristics of blockchain technology, as well as its advantages and disadvantages when used to IoT networks. We additionally review the existing research on blockchain-based IoT network solutions. We discuss the main consequences of integrating blockchain technology into IoT networks and make recommendations for further study. Our paper show how blockchain technology can offer safe, scalable, and privacy-preserving data sharing and transaction management while addressing the issues with IoT networks.
