Foundations of Deepfake Detection: Insights from Initial Research

To maintain digital media integrity, it is important to develop effective techniques of deepfake detection. This paper provides a brief overview of the basic methods and approaches for deepfake detection. Starting with the initial stage up to date, we have looked at several models and evaluated their effectiveness in view of preliminary research findings. In our study, we evaluate current findings of the existing models with their approaches and efficacy in used datasets. We also recommend some other methods for further implementation in order to enhance the strength and precision of the deepfake detection system.
