Result Pattern Hiding Conjunctive Search Scheme with Verifiability

Yanzhe Zhu, Chungen Xu, Lin Mei, Hanyong Liu · 2024

Dynamic symmetric searchable encryption (DSSE) schemes that support conjunctive search enable users to perform searches on encrypted data while allowing client-side data updates. However, recent attacks have demonstrated that leakage of result pattern during conjunctive searches can compromise data privacy. Additionally, cloud servers may return incorrect or incomplete results, further exacerbating privacy concerns. In order to solve the problems, this paper proposes a verifiable DSSE scheme called VRHCS that supports conjunctive search functionality and incorporates a result-hiding filter to prevent result pattern leakage. Experimental evaluations reveal that VRHCS achieves improved performance in terms of security and efficiency compared to existing approaches.
