Characterizing the scope, challenges, and opportunities in emerging computer science education courses in India

In the age of Industry 5.0, computer science education faces new challenges in adapting to emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and data sciences, etc. This research evaluates existing curricula in AI & ML, data sciences, and cyber security programs, assessing their alignment with industry demands. We explore institutions, courses, student outcomes, and curriculum impact, gathering input from alumni, recruiters, and students. Our goal is to bridge curriculum gaps, empower educational institutions by making students industry ready. Furthermore, curricula are updated with industry driven needs and tech-enabled courses for the tech-driven jobs, improve placement opportunities.
