The Impact of Cloud Computing on Construction Practices in Nepal: A Comprehensive Study

Cloud computing has emerged as a transformative technology with significant potential for various industries, including the construction sector. This research paper explores its role in the construction industry and its impact on proj ect management, collaboration, data storage, and security. Through an in-depth analysis of existing literature, case studies, and industry practices, the paper highlights the benefits, challenges, and future prospects of cloud computing adoption in construction. The findings aim to help industry professionals and policymakers understand the potential of cloud computing and make informed decisions regarding its implementation in construction projects. Additionally, this research examines the implementation of cloud computing in Nepal's construction industry and its impact on sustainable projects. It combines existing research findings with a survey conducted among 58 construction companies to identify key factors contributing to successful adoption. A Relative Importance Index (RII) is utilized to determine the relative importance of these factors, providing insights into the specific context of cloud computing adoption in Nepal's construction sector.
