This chapter provides the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into the realm of cybersecurity which represents a paradigm shift in defending against evolving cyber threats. This chapter also explores prominent application of AI in cybersecurity in the realm of threat detection. It describes about AI algorithms, particularly machine learning models, which can analyze vast datasets to identify patterns and anomalies indicative of potential security breaches. This proactive approach enhances the ability to detect sophisticated, previously unseen threats, enabling cybersecurity systems to stay one step ahead of malicious actors. AI in cybersecurity involves automating incident response. AI-driven technologies can autonomously analyze and mitigate security incidents, reducing response times and alleviating the burden on human security teams.
