Medical Language Processing and Resources Reusability: a case study applied to Dutch

Spyns Peter · Studies in health technology and informatics · 1996

In this paper, a case study is presented of how existing resources for medical language processing can be optimally reused. In particular, it will be shown how an existing morphosyntactical analyser for Dutch is coupled to the language independent components of other medical language understanding systems, namely the Ménélas (an Access System for Medical Records using Natural Language) and the LSP-MLP (Linguistic String Project -Medical Language Processor) systems.
