The ASL Glove represents a significant innovation in assistive technology, offering a solution to enhance communication accessibility for individuals with hearing, vision, and speech impairments. This research paper outlines the development and evaluation of the ASL Glove, a real-time sign-to-speech device designed to facilitate seamless communication between users and recipients. Utilizing flex sensors and Arduino Uno microcontroller integrated into a specially designed glove, the device translates American Sign Language (ASL) gestures into text and converts them into synthesized speech. The ASL Glove features a text display interface for visual representation of the translated signs and an audio output for auditory communication, ensuring inclusivity for individuals with diverse communication needs. Through rigorous testing and user feedback sessions, the device demonstrates high accuracy in gesture recognition and real-time translation, validating its effectiveness as an assistive technology tool. By breaking down communication barriers, the ASL Glove empowers individuals with disabilities to engage more effectively in social interactions and daily activities. Continued development and refinement of the device hold promise for further improving communication accessibility and promoting inclusivity in society.
