As on date, it is found that almost all human being is suffering from any of the decease that could be either major or minor like headache, cancer, heart problem, related to bones etc. and all these patients are in touch with different clinic, hospitals for better treatment. For future reference, all such clinics or hospitals are storing their patient data, so that in any emergency case required department can be retrieved easily. Healthcare data refers to any information that relates to the health status, medical history, or healthcare treatment of an individual or group of people. This data can include demographic information, such as age, gender, and location, as well as clinical data, such as diagnoses, lab results, and medication information. Healthcare data can be generated from various sources, including electronic health records, medical claims data, medical devices, clinical trials, and public health surveillance systems. Healthcare data is essential for improving patient outcomes, identifying public health trends, and guiding healthcare policy and decision-making. However, the collection, use, and management of healthcare data must be done in compliance with strict privacy and security regulations to protect the confidentiality and integrity of patients' personal health information. But managing healthcare-related data can be challenging due to a number of issues, like Privacy and security concerns, Data is properly scattered across different systems or not, data is incomplete or inconsistent, or any missing information, which can lead to incorrect diagnoses. The way medical data is gathered, stored, and exchanged has been completely transformed by the implementation of cyber physical systems (CPS) in the healthcare industry. However, the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical healthcare data are now at danger due to new security threats brought about by this increasing connection. With its immutable and decentralized structure, blockchain technology presents a promising answer to these security issues. The potential of blockchain technology to secure healthcare data in CPS is discussed in this chapter. In this chapter, we have discussed about what is healthcare data, different technologies in Healthcare, need of maintaining healthcare data, various risk associated with such data. Concept of Cyber Physical System (CPS) and Blockchain Technology (BCT) are also coved in this chapter. In the last we have discussed how BCT is helpful to improve the security and privacy of healthcare data in cyber physical systems, providing patients with more control over their data and enabling secure data sharing between different stakeholders.
