This is the rationale behind Attendify, an application for tracking the attendance of students, that incorporates the use of facial recognition techniques to try and solve some of the persistent problems that plague the education sector. The conventional techniques are easily forge and has a tendency of producing wrong figures, it equally hampers student's accomplishment. In preventing these problems, Attendify employs random attendance checks within the course timeframe duration, as it ensures students engagement. This has a tendency to prevent students from being absent from the class and contributes to a higher level of attention. This paper acknowledges areas of weakness in the previous methods and then contextualises the framework for attendify from the educational literature on attendance, engagement and the increasing relevance of technology in the education setting. Thus, creating contactless and accurate presence-based solutions, Attendify meets the adaptations of educational institutions and has a potential of improving and optimizing the processes of attendance management along with students formation.
