Due to the programmability of intelligent metasurfaces to effectively and dynamically manipulate electromagnetic (EM) waves in space, extensive research indicates their potential to address the problem of signal blockage in future indoor NLOS scenarios, thereby enhancing signal coverage. Building upon this premise, this study experimentally compared the effects of deploying two Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) versus a single RIS on signal strength. The experiments demonstrate that in indoor Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) scenarios, deploying two RISs maintains reliable signal transmission and offers superior performance compared to deploying one single RIS.
