This paper explores the landscape of threat intelligence and prediction techniques aimed at mitigating Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks within cloud computing environments. It also covers a wide range of methodologies and highlights how important machine learning is in enhancing predictive capabilities and promoting adaptable defence mechanisms. Despite challenges posed by virtualization and various networks, the surveyed literature underscores the importance of scalable and adaptable strategies. As cloud environments evolve, the insights gathered lay the foundation for advancing threat intelligence and prediction strategies, enhancing the cybersecurity posture against future DDoS threats.
