Large-capacity medium-frequency transformers with amorphous cores play a critical role in power systems. These transformers offer significant energy savings, ensuring stable and reliable power supply while reducing operating costs, thereby improving both reliability and economic efficiency. However, a notable drawback of amorphous transformers is the high noise level during operation, which can lead to noise pollution, negatively impacting the well-being of nearby residents and causing long-term damage to the transformer itself. Therefore, the study of vibration noise in large-capacity medium-frequency amorphous transformers is increasingly important. This paper analyzes the mechanism of transformer noise generation, establishes a multi-physics simulation model, and validates the model’s accuracy through field experiments. Several vibration and noise reduction design solutions for large-capacity medium-frequency transformers are proposed and their effectiveness is verified through simulation analysis.
