Many countries have adopted the use of QRIS for payment transactions, but some users still adopt it even though payment with QRIS provides benefits and convenience for users. Therefore, this study analyzes the driving factors of user behavioral intention to adopt QRIS by paying attention to technological characteristics, task-technology fit, perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness. The research population focused on QRIS users with a predetermined sample size of 383 QRIS users in three major cities in Indonesia (Surabaya, Sidoarjo, and Malang), so the purposive sampling method was applied in collecting data through social media. The data was then analyzed using the partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The results prove that all hypotheses are accepted: technology characteristics affect task-technology fit. Task-technology fit affects perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. Perceived ease of use affects perceived usefulness. Perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness affect behavioral intention in using QRIS.
