A Comparative Analysis of Steganography in Formats of Digital Images

Steganography is a technique used for embedding information within digital files. The main goal of steganography is to send secret data inside another object without any suspicion of its existence. It is the art of hiding information. Hackers use steganography to contain malware to avoid easy identification by the various security measures. Embedded information should not be noticed in any way. This paper uses LSB to compare the result of embedding messages inside the Metadata of different digital image formats BMP, JPG, PNG, and TIFF. Metadata is the information explains the file’s content. Different measures were used for evaluation process MSE, PSNR, SSIM, and the histogram.
