Performance Comparison of STFT and DWT in Audio Denoising

This paper describes the basic idea about Short-Time Fourier Transform (STFT) as well as Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT). And we need to use the audio of a song as the example, test the performance of STFT and DWT on audio denoising. The experiment uses Matlab software as the tool, and several indices such as sound to noise ratio correlation coefficient are used to evaluate the performance. Several graphs are also drawn to get a clear view of the performance of denoise. The result shows that using STFT performs better than the DWT. The noise signal after STFT processing is very close to the original signal.
