Phishing Detection and Prevention in Smart Devices and IoT Networks

The use of IoT and smart devices has increased day by day. The connections and automations are easily made in the digital world by the use of IoT and smart devices. But, the frequency of phishing attacks on these devices has grown day by day. This chapter focuses on the increasing situation of phishing in the environments of the IoT and smart devices. Also, paper provides the explanation of the challenges given by the IoT and smart devices. The paper explore that how the phishing attacks have been changed in order to aim the existing weaknesses within the IoT environments. Advantages of these devices in terms of connectivity and user-friendly interfaces are also discussed. Moving a step further than the risk valuation, this paper aims at explaining the details about current state of art in the detection and prevention strategies. There are some problems in which fundamental security protocols may be problematic to enforce.
