Anonymous Public Reporting and Awareness System for Women
K. Jaspin, D Vasithra · 2024
This research study proposes a novel solution to combat the underreporting of harassment and abuse, particularly for women in public spaces. The Anonymous Public Incident Reporting and Mapping System allows users to anonymously report incidents, view complaints within a 5 km radius for analysis, and mark locations and complaint on a real-time map. By crowdsourcing data, it creates heatmaps of high-risk areas and alerts authorities when incident thresholds are met. This approach boosts reporting, raises public awareness, and enables timely interventions, ultimately aiming to improve public safety and support informed decisions.
