Diabetes is a chronic disease caused due to metabolic disorder and management of diabetes can be understood by glucose-insulin dynamics. The mathematical models of differential equation describe the various aspects of diabetes, including glucose-insulin dynamics, management and complications of diabetes, parameter estimation and their effectiveness are growing day by day. Here, we discussed numerous mathematical models based on delay differential equation dealing with various aspects of diabetes and using parameter estimation techniques of the last few decades. Computer algorithms using the neural network and fuzzy logic for prediction of glucose concentration in blood, computational techniques, and analysis of models are also discuss.
